Very happy May 31, 2010 Joanna Hickling (Reading, England) This book was a must have for me so I was happy to find it at a good price!!
Perfect for what I need. November 29, 2009 Ms. R. Lowery (Leeds, UK) Having only had time to read a small amount thoroughly and flick through the pages, this book seems to be well laid out and very simple to read. While the content is complex, it is split up into manageable sections with diagrams at appropriate points. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to become a Midwife. I'm reading it in my gap year and it has really helped me understand the true nature of the job. It even explained some things I'd never heard of and others I never expected to be in the role of a Midwife. Overall an extremely helpful book and bargain really, considering all the use I will no doubt get out of it.
New edition is great! June 7, 2009 C. Clayton (Northamptonshire, England.) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I really like the new edition of the Myles' textbook, it's just a shame I only have 3 months left of my training, however it will continue to be a vaulable source of information for me once I qualify.
Easy to read, and accessible, the graphics are really appealing too. The only downside to the textbook is there are a couple of chapters within the textbook which I would consider first year midwifery students would find difficult to understand. However once theoretical knowledge grows the book is great at getting you thinking and debating about the topics discussed.
I would recommend this textbook to all student midwives and practicing midwives alike!
I picked Myles March 31, 2009 R. Allan (Scotland) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Every new student midwife faces the dilemma of choosing between Mayes and Myles. After careful deliberation and studying both books I picked Myles.
I found the layout very user friendly and there's a udeful colour palette full of photos in the middle.
You'll refer to it continually and it's well worth the money to have your own copy instead of having to borrow the library's copy.
This is a good buy February 3, 2009 S. Dean (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
